Easy basic chocolate brownie recipe, a recipe for simple chocolate brownies using basic ingredients already in your pantry. I love using chocolate bars while baking and definitely feel like the taste and texture is significantly better when I do. The only thing that I don’t look forward to is the melting of the chocolate, especially if it involves a double-boiler set up.{Check out more brownie recipes here like the eggless biscuit brownies, whole wheat brownies, and twix brownies}

There are a dozen different ways you can customize this basic chocolate brownie recipe, that’s why this is the basic brownie recipe. Add orange zest, white chocolate chips, chopped walnuts, let your imagination go wild! I have baked these with some a topping of chocolate ganache and it’s really out of this world. If you prefer an eggless brownie, check out this fail-proof eggless brownie recipe.

    Hi Nags,
    This was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to try the Chocolate Mint Brownie – http://www.davidlebovitz.com/2011/03/chocolate-mint-brownies/ recipe but the proportions mentioned in this recipe seem outrageous (Since I will be the only one hogging them :)) and being entirely new to baking (more like 2 weeks in the business), I was not sure how to change the measurements and your recipe was a GOD send 🙂

    I have been checking out your blog for about again 2 weeks now 🙂 You are doing a wonderful job. Your pictures make me want to cook up and eat everything.
    Cheers,
    Kanchana
