Masala Chai For Click
I have been quite disappointed with the pictures I am able to take in my apartment in Singapore. The kitchen does not have any windows so I set up a small table in the washing area. The natural light there in the morning is too bright and in the evening is too dull. I have tried in vain to produce some decent coffee and tea pics but failed, so here I am, posting an old one.
I had made this Masala Chai for a previous version of MBP. I still make this tea on and off, when I am in the right mood, mostly when its raining. This is my entry to this month's Click Event - Coffee and Tea.

hey i tried your okra dish with besan...delicious...more importantly, the family loved it...:D
ReplyDeleteand love masala chai...
Oh ya, I remember this pic Nags.. Nice entry for CLICK and ya, u are right, I was editing the 'brownie' post, all thanks to 'blogger in draft' feature which was removing the breaks
ReplyDelete. then I had to shift to normal one to post..:)

ReplyDeleteI've always loved this pic! And I wanted to also tell you that I LOVE this template. Wish I was as creative as you! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Nags, I remember this picture from the earlier post, and it is a wonderful entry. Nothing like masala chai on a rainy day. I do hope you can start taking great pictures soon. Did you try any other area in the house? Good luck, and looking forward to great pics and recipes:-)
ReplyDeleteI know what u mean about Singapore atppts..I also have to constantly play hide and seek with the light to get barely acceptable pictures.
ReplyDeleteThis one of yours is lovely though, nothing like a cup of masala chai for rainy Singapore evenings:)
Nice click Nags..About the light, I also have the same problem. Most of my cooking happens at night after I come back from office and by that time..
ReplyDeleteno windows in the kitchen must be a pain, right! cardamom & ginger in tea are just the best! btw, hv u tried lemon grass tea?
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine a morning without my cardamom and mint masala chai! in fact, I'm heading off to make one right now:)
ReplyDeletedon't worry, soon you'll be buying a new house with plenty of light! I have clairvoyant powers, you see!:) so just hang in there:D
Nice and wonderful Click.......
ReplyDeleteHi Nags! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. Came to check out yours! You have a lovely blog with great recipes and photos! I just subscribed to you to be updated on your posts.
ReplyDeleteAs to chai, it is a great click. I love the idea of this month's contest. Tea is the daily beverage in Azerbaijan.
Great meeting you!
Farida
My favorite tea! Shreya sent me here, what a lovely blog!
ReplyDeleteLG - yeah, me too in the same boat!
ReplyDeleteMansi - may your words come true :D
hi nags! the pics aren't showing up on my comp! wonder why?!!? anyways, to answer your q on myblog - I used extra firm tofu. now I am going to scout for recipes in the rest of your site. ciao
ReplyDeletechai is looking lovely
ReplyDeleteYour picture looks quite good. Tea is my tipple of choice, especially with masala.
ReplyDeleteI'm having problems with light too, at our new place and it doesn't help that the rains are here.
Hey Lucky, maybe you should try hanging a transparent cloth across your window. It diffuses light quite well. I have been seeing your pics get better and better. Tell "TH" (I am guessing it is who it is) its time to invest in a soft box and set up for food photography. Saw some miniatures in Singapore recently . . .
