AFAM Papaya Round Up

Its my pleasure to bring to you some amazing recipes using one of the most healthiest fruits - Papaya! A huge thanks to all those who tried hard to get hold of one, for racking your brains for a recipe and a special thanks to my sis and Nanditha for contributing not one, but two recipes! And for those who thought Papaya can only be cut and eaten just like that, here are some recipes to get you started on thinking otherwise.

Let's start the party with some drinks, shall we?

Papaya Lassi

1 cup ripe papaya, diced and mashed well
1 cup plain yogurt
2 cups chilled water
2 tablespoons lime juice(optional)
Few sprigs peppermint
Ice cubes
A luxurious addition a dollop of vanilla ice cream
(add 2 tsp of sugar, in case you aren't on a diet)

Use a hand blender to beat or blend yogurt and sugar, then add water and beat again. Add mashed papaya with all the seasonings. Add a dollop of vanilla ice cream in the glass and pour the lassi over it. Garnish with mint and serve cold.

I hope you all had as much fun participating in this event as I had hosting it. A huge thanks to Maheswari for giving me this lovely opportunity.

Hi there, thank you so much for leaving a note on my recipes and posts. I really appreciate it and do read every single one of them although it's not always possible to reply individually. I wish I could hire some people to do all the boring stuff in my life while I reply to all of you all day.

That was not even a joke!

Browse around, have fun. Hope you come back to visit soon.
