Announcing 'Show Me Your Cook Books' Event!!

Hello all of you. I am really excited to annouce that I am going to host my first event ever - Show Me Your Cook Books!! The original idea was conceived by Sabrina of YumSugar. I had participated last month and got a lot of comments from you all saying you loved the event idea. That's when I wrote to Sabrina and decided to host it right here in my blog!!

As opposed to all other events that are very dear to us, this one is relatively simpler but definitely fun! Here is what you need to do to take part.

1. Take a picture of yourself with your favourite cookbook (or if you are really shy you can send a pic of your fave cook book, but taken by you, please!) Create a post with the picture and you can tell us a story about how you bought it, anecdotes, things you learnt from it, why you like it, etc, etc.

2. Send me the following details to naagu.v@gmail.com, before September 30th, 2007

(a) Your name
(b) Name of your blog
(c) Permalink
(d) Why you like the book, in one sentence.

Here is the logo for the event, which I created using my favourite book. Feel free to use it. You can see my entry to the original event, here.

So bring out the books and lets get it rolling. Feel free to get back to me in case of questions or suggestions. I would love to hear from you.

Hi Nags, I am visiting your blog from your comment at mine and look what I found! I haven't even started to look at your recipes yet :) I *love* cookbooks, collect them in fact. I will definitely be here with an entry by Sept. 30. My question would be: do we have to choose only one? ;)

All the best from New England :)

Hey guys,

Thanks a ton for all your comments. I really hope this event turns out fun and we get to see a variety of cook books in here.

Some of you had questions about using more than one book, please feel free to send me more than one pic :D I am sure we can accommodate all of them in here :)

Looking forward to some smashing entries from all of you!
